Tomorrow I leave for the next big adventure; my life at Indiana University in Bloomington. Scared? Yeah, sure. Excited? Definitely. Not nearly as terrified as I was going to Spain about a year ago, though.
Although I am equal parts scared and excited, I know that I am on this road for a reason and that if I wasn’t able to do what I am going there to do, I wouldn’t be on this road in the first place. Call it fate or something like that.
I am saying goodbye to my hometown for good for the time ever, and moving to a place where I know no one! In one aspect, this is scarier than Spain because it is more permanent: if I didn’t like life in Spain, I could just leave. This program is two years at the least and seven years at the most.
I am sure I will like it once I get settled in–that’s what it’s all about. Adjusting to a new life and a new routine. Wish me luck!
