I simply cannot understand the mentality that is ever so present in the U.S., which goes something like this: work very hard, all the time (taking no little to no vacations), saving lots of money all the while, until you retire, when you can then spend all the money you saved doing the things you wanted to do all your life. My question(s), which goes along with the image, is: what if you die first? What was the point then?
