“Bel Ami”
"Bel Ami" is about a man recently returned from the military trying to improve his life situation in Paris in the late 1800s, and is based on the book of the same name. Robert Pattinson plays George Duroy, whose friend does him the favor of giving him a job as a journalist. Duroy begins an affair with his friend’s wife’s friend, and once his friend dies, he marries the widow. By this time he has become the head of the paper and uses this new position to have an affair with the wife of his nemesis at the paper, and eventually ends up marrying his daughter (after getting divorced from his first wife, of course). It ends with Duroy walking down the aisle with his new bride and passing each of the women he has used to get to the top. Beware Robert Pattinson fans…if you watch the unrated version of this film, you see his whole butt, naked. Definitely worth splurging for the unrated version. 🙂

"Bel Ami" trata sobre un hombre recientemente vuelto de los militares el quien está intentando a mejorar su posición en París a finales de los 1800, y está basado en el libro del mismo nombre. Robert Pattinson representa George Duroy, cuyo amigo hace el favor de darle un puesto como un periodista. Duroy empieza un lío con la amiga de la esposa de su amigo, y cuando murió su amigo, se casa con la viuda. Para entonces se ha hecho el jefe del periódico y usa esta posición para tener un lío con la mujer de su archienemigo al periódico, y eventualmente acaba con casarse con su hija (despues de divorciarse de su primera mujer, claro). Acaba con Duroy paseando con su nueva mujer por el pasillo de la boda y pasando por cada una de las mujeres las que él ha usado para subir. Ten cuidado los fans de Robert Pattinson…si ves la versión sin clasificación, ves el trasero entero, desnudo. Definitivamente vale la pena para derrochar para la versión sin clasificación. 🙂
“Cosmopolis”
Halfway through “Cosmopolis,” I still hadn’t figured out what it was about and had to google a review. I felt as if I had missed the first half hour although I definitely hadn’t. It is about a young New York stock trader and his downfall with the plunge in the stock market. I would say that 80% of the movie takes place in his private limo, which makes for a lot of scenes with conversation about something you don’t understand. This movie could have been much better with clearer dialogue that lets the viewer know exactly what is going on. The only plus is seeing Robert Pattinson half naked.

Por la mitad de “Cosmopolis,” todavía no he entendido sobre que trató la película, y tuve que buscar una crítica. Me sentí como si había perdido la primera media hora aunque definitivamente no lo había. Trata sobre un negociante de Nueva York y su ruina con la caída del mercado bursátil. Diría que 80% de la película tiene lugar en su limusina privada, lo cual significa que hay muchas escenas de conversación sobre algo que no se entiende. Esta película podría haber sido mucho mejor con diálogo más claro lo que se permite al espectador a saber lo que está pasando exactamente. La sola ventaja fue a ver a Robert Pattinson semidesnudo.
