After having seen Rome with my mom and aunt, I think I can now say that I have visited all of the super-touristy places in Europe.
(London, Paris, Dublin, Vienna, Berlin, Venice, etc….)
I can’t say that I’m not unhappy about it, because having been so many places and seen so many things, large groups of people honestly just irritate me, as do lines, and unfriendly customer service people who are just plain tired of dealing with all the rude tourists.
Okay, now that that little rant is over, let me say that Rome was beautiful! The weather was warm(ish), the sun was shining (for the most part) and the sites were dazzling.
The first day, we visited the Vatican: the museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica and Plaza; then we went to the Castle of Saint Angelo before calling it a day.
The second day, we went to the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum, and after lunch we went to the Capitoline Museum, a few churches, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and maybe a couple other cositas…
The third and last day, we went to Borghese Park, where we rented a four-person bike thingy and rode around; then we went to the Spanish Steps and the church at the top of them before turning in early to pack and rest.
I am glad that we got a chance to see everything we wanted to see. My favorite part was basically anytime we were up high enough to get a view of the city, mainly because it was so beautiful out and it made for great pictures!

Después de visitar Roma con mi madre y mi tía, creo que ahora puedo decir que he visitado todos de los lugares mas turísticos en Europa.
(Londres, París, Dublín, Viena, Berlín, Venecia, etc….)
No puedo decir que no estoy triste por esto, porque he estado en tantos lugares y he visto tantas cosas, honestamente las muchedumbres me molestan, así como las colas, y los dependientes antipáticos que están agotados y hartos de lidiar con los turistas maleducados.
Vale, ahora que mi pequeno chorreo está terminado, permitidme decir que Roma fue hermosa! El tiempo hacía bastante cálido, hacía sol (la mayoría del tiempo) y los sitios lucían resplandecientes.
El primer día, visitamos el Vaticano: los museos, la Capilla Sixtina, y la Basilica y Plaza de San Pedro; luego fuimos al Castillo de San Angelo antes de que el día terminase.
El segundo día, fuimos al Coliseo, al Monte Palatino, y al Foro Romano, y después de almorzar fuimos al Museo Capitolino, algunas iglesias, la Fontana de Trevi, el Panteón, y a lo mejor un par de cositas más…
El tercer y último día, fuimos al Parque Borghese, donde alquilamos una bici de cuatro personas y fuimos por el parque; luego fuimos a la Escalera Española y la iglesia que está arriba antes irnos a la piltra pronto para hacer las maletas y descansar un poco.
Estoy contenta porque tuvimos la oportunidad de ver todo lo que quisimos ver. Mi parte favorita básicamente era cada vez que estábamos en lugares elevadas para tener una vista de la ciudad, principalmente porque el tiempo era bueno todo estaba tan hermoso que ¡dio la oportunidad para sacar fotos muy buenas!
Arriba están fotos de la vista desde la cúpula de la Basilica de San Pedro, la Capilla Sixtina (¡que tuve que hacer a hurtadillas porque las fotos están prohibidas estrictamente!), y la Fontana de Trevi.
También, prestad atención a mi próximo post, porque después de que mi madre y mi tía regresaron a los EEUU, ¡viajé a Andalucía en España, para visitar Córdoba y Granada!
