New Year’s in Paris!!   

   So I’ve been traveling this past week–first Paris, and tomorrow London! Paris has been amazing, although I will definitely have to return some day to see all the things I couldn’t the first time around. New Year’s here was a bit like Times Square in New York, but a little less exciting, to be honest.

   Although I have never experienced Times Square on New Year’s, (I hope to someday–next year, maybe?) there is much more excitement there and also counting down when it gets close. Plus the ball dropping!

   In Paris it was a bunch of people crowded around the Eiffel Tower and no counting down, so if you weren’t paying close attention you missed the exact moment! There were fireworks, but they were nowhere near as spectacular as shows I have seen in Barcelona or the United States. Besides the two hours it took us to get back to our hotel after the year changed, it was very fun, even though it was sprinkling the whole time. All in all, it was a great night, and I can check New Year’s in Paris off my bucket list!
